Out of the Archive

The restrictions on travel during the Covid-19 pandemic allowed me to find the time to organise, catalogue and rediscover my archive. I spent day after day in my loft, looking through contact sheets, negatives and scans of past work. A large part has already been digitized and large-format prints are produced on a daily basis at the atelier, in preparation for an exhibition this summer at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich. The pressure to complete all the scans for the catalouge, and organise the printing of images for the exhibit, is intense, yet I remained relaxed. It is surprising to realise that the exhibition this year will be the first major retrospective of my work. However, there just had not been enough time before to think about celebrating past endeavours, because new ideas and projects would always take precedence.
