Not the nameless exploited or exploiters who often live in the shadows are the subject of this blog. But those who are in the spotlight. All those who are used to presenting themselves in front of the camera, to pose. They know what the click of a camera shutter means. They know when the light is advantageous – or not.

The Corona crisis had something good for me: I was forced to look backwards. Before the epidemic, my life only knew the direction forward. And so many images found the way from my memory to the light table. A gift. Also for me.

As a convinced pacifist, it is even more painful to meet the downtrodden people living in the crisis areas. The people who are exposed to violence. I used to believe that a picture could change the world. But unfortunately my most extreme photos were not published. Exactly these pictures, from which I had hoped to make a difference.
